Software Development
We do all types of development here at Filespanker. Lately, a bunch of web and intranet applications.
We're a Unix shop at heart, but can manage pretty much any platform. While we currently specialize in database-driven web applications, we have experience with GUI applications on most operating systems. Our front-ends are as strong as our number crunching code. That's not exactly common.
When possible, we use dynamic languages and test-driven development. This means fast turn-around and crazy stability. If you need a Rails special-ops team fast, we can hook you up.
Design
Code is art. But art is also art. We offer web, and increasingly more print design services.
Web
We actually care about things like typography, line-heights, Ems, and optimal column widths. You end up with an attractive, accessible, cross-browser web design based on web standards.
We don't do all-Flash sites, but we can help you escape yours.
Filespanker is a web applications company, so we can get your design massaged into whatever template engines or applications you need.
We branched into print work because good design is universal. We do flyers, letterheads, handbills, posters, pamphlets and more.
Our upcoming project, slixel, has a fully automated, color-managed pipeline, direct to the printers. We seriously get print.
Simple things are priced cheap, complicated things are priced competitively. Send an email for a quote.

We're located in RTP, North Carolina. We work with clients who don't mind the name Filespanker, as an experiment in self-selection.
